Under the sponsorship of the Smoky Mountain Blues Society Rob and Doug have been doing “Blues in the School” presentations in the East Tennessee area since approximately 2005. They have made presentations to diverse group of organizations including Boys and Girls Clubs, local Knoxville schools and recently teaching adults at the Oak Ridge Institute for Continued Learning (ORICL) beginning in the Spring of 2025.
The presentations mix live music, recorded music and blues history to help students of all ages understand the history and influence of the blues in our culture. The playlists and presentation outlines are available on this site.
